Is Self-love Selfish?

This hurricane gave me a lot of time to get to know myself. Imagine going 36hrs (roughly) without Internet or phone or CONNECTION with other human beings. All the while knowing that one bad tornado could end your life in a flash. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In that sense it was a beautiful thing. I told a friend I felt like this storm blew the bullshit of my life away from my eyes 👀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This storm if anything showed me my strength. I've been living only on hard boiled eggs & apples & the deepest spiritual connection I've ever known. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When asked in an interview if it is selfish to tell people to love themselves Wayne Dyer responded: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To be selfish is to be a burden to another human being. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The person who dislikes themselves is the biggest burden to be around. This is someone who is never happy, doesn't know how to make themselves happy, is using other people to try to get them to be happy, is always blaming others for the conditions of their life. This is the person who has self-doubt or self-rejection & doesn't know how to enjoy their life & being around a person who doesn't enjoy their life is burdensome. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, I ask you dear one, is your life full of people who conspire for your greatest good? Or, is it full of energy vampires that drain the very life from your beautiful soul? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Irma you're a powerful lady.
